Is your Investment sinking?
The life span of a stump is generally 30-40 years, depending on soil conditions. Often timber stumps were installed without a sole plate (a timber pad approx. size of a breadboard). This pad often fails first, resulting in subsidence of the home.
Signs can be jamming doors, cracking walls and bouncy floors. It is imperative that drainage is maintained with all buildings, particularly those of timber foundation, as ventilation is important.

Our Solution
  • Relevel floors and bring up walls
  • Fit Heritage Stump Savers or replace stumps
  • Minimum inconvenience to you
  • Lower costs, long life and guaranteed performance

The most cost effective, no short cuts, life long answer to house restumping is with the award winning Heritage Stump Saver, and the answer starts here. Beware of the so-called jack and pack brigade who drive wedges to sinking stumps and prop bricks and concrete blocks under the walls and floor, causing more damage and problems.

The Heritage Stump Saver Plate
The unique system uses a steel plate to lock into your existing stump and save it from sinking. The award winning Heritage Stump Saver will help prevent your walls from cracking as well as help to stop your doors jamming due to stump failure, and is installed for your peace of mind by a qualified, licensed company. For people that do not live within South Australia, we can sell the Heritage Stump Saver Plates to interstate clients. Please contact us with enquiries regarding this service.

We guarantee our workmanship and materials for 12 months from completion.
In addition, Heritage Stump Savers are guaranteed by the manufacturer for 30 years from the date of installation.
The process begins with a full stump survey that we carry out free of charge and obligation, in the metropolitan area. Small charge may apply for country areas to cover fuel costs.
Stumps that look okay above the ground can be rotten to the core underground where you cannot see them and also may be lacking a sole plate. The saver plate spreads the load of the building weight and helps stop your home from sinking. As required we perform an under floor inspection marking all stumps that need attention, bearers that need replacing, walls and floors that need adjustments, at all times taking into account our clients' wishes. Rot in timber occurs only when moisture content reaches 20%, allowing rot and fungus to grow and eat your stumps, so above ground stumps always look okay.
Visible signs of stump failure, i.e. cracks in walls, sloping floors and jamming doors mean that stump maintenance has not been part of building maintenance, and the home renovator/owner must tackle now, before more structural damage occurs and costly structural and cosmetic rectification is required.

We dig down to the base of a sample number of stumps to determine stump condition and why failure of the building superstructure is occurring. Relevelling of your floors, walls and house should be done before you renovate.
